Giclee prints

The giclee, or fine art, printing process used in producing these prints is the same as that employed by galleries and museums for their exhibited works, ensuring great quality reproductions which survive for many years without fading. (More info on giclee printing...)

There is a choice of 2 paper types:

Smooth white cotton rag, 310gsm (grammes/square metre). This is a heavy paper, really a card, with a soft matted finish and slightly warm tone. Photographs look stunning printed on this surface and will not fade due to the acid free, archival quality of the material.

Semi matte paper, 260gsm. This is also an acid free, archival paper which, though slightly lighter than the cotton rag, remains a heavy material of fine art quality on which to print. It is white with a slight silky sheen. The lighter paper enables it to be rolled up and shipped in a tube.

Prints ordered from Photography Art Cafe will be produced on standard paper sizes (A3, A2... etc), with a border around the edge sized according to the dimensions of an image.

Stretched Canvases

Images are printed on fine art, 100% cotton canvas of 400gsm, before being stretched to 3cm deep wooden support bars. Each canvas is produced to the exact dimensions of a specific image so that the picture fills the front surface, whilst the sides remain white.

The same giclee printing method used for prints (above) ensures deep, vibrant colour quality which will not fade. The canvas has a fine-pebble matted finish which brings a great texture to the image. The overall result is a clean and striking way to mount a photograph, which looks fantastic in either a home or work space.

All canvases from Photography Art Cafe are provided with hanging materials.

Greetings cards and postcards

Greetings cards are sized A5 (21 x 15cm) and printed on 350gsm paper with a silk finish (slight sheen). They are creased and folded and provided with free white envelopes.

Postcards are sized A6 (15 x 10cm) and printed on 350 gsm paper with a silk finish.

Shipping

Shipping costs are kept to a minimum

All Items are shipped globally at no extra cost to those distributed within the UK.

Giclee prints

Giclee prints on 260gsm semi matte paper are rolled up and shipped in a strong cardboard tube.

Giclee prints on 310gsm cotton rag paper are wrapped in heavily protective packaging and shipped as large parcels.

Canvases

Stretched canvases are wrapped in protective packaging and shipped in a strong cardboard box.

Greetings Cards/Postcards

Greetings and Postcards are boxed in card and wrapped in heavily protective packaging.

Times and Costs

Please allow 10 days from the order date for the production and shipment of items within the UK.

Please allow 15 days from the order date for the production and shipment of items outside the UK.

No international shipping costs are charged.
